  20. Make Shared Executables Read-Only
  21.  
  22. Executable files that will be run by more than one user at a time
  23. need to be marked as read-only.  If they are not, then you may
  24. notice at times that you are temporarily denied access to a file
  25. you wish to run.  For example, you may get a message that access
  26. was denied or that the EXE file could not be run.  If this
  27. happens, mark the executable files read-only using the DOS ATTRIB
  28. command.  Type ATTRIB +R *.EXE in the directory where the
  29. executable files reside.  This example marks the *.EXE files
  30. read-only.  All shared .COMs, .BATs, and .OVLs should be marked
  31. as well.  The read-only attribute can be cleared using the same
  32. command replacing the +R with -R. (See DOS documentation for
  33. information on the ATTRIB command).
